THE SKINNY ON THE
BIG WINTER MEETS

How to be a lean, mean winning machine at Aqueduct, Gulfstream and Santa Anita!

Dear Racing Friend,

Contrary to what everybody thinks, winter racing can be the biggest, steadiest source of profits to the astute bettor and I intend to prove it big time right now.

For forty years I have been knocking down good, solid, steady scores at the Aqueduct inner track. It never bothered me that “better” horses had flown south to race at Gulfstream. The payoff in any race is not for the best horse in the world but the best horse IN THIS RACE. And guys who KNOW the inner track, its ins and outs, its peculiarities, its biases and the horses and their connections that compete here - make out like bandits.

My record proves it. I’m about to show you all the proof you could ever want that I know EXACTLY what I’m talking about. Then we’ll talk about all the goodies in my book that are going to make YOU lots of winter profits - not just at the Aqueduct inner track but also at Gulfstream and Santa Anita.

Anybody who says he can pick winners should be able to prove it. And nobody in history ever proved it like me, Gasper Moschera.

I am a six time #1 Champion Claiming Trainer in New York racing history - from 1993-1998

I was in the Top-10 seventeen years in a row - from 1983-1999 I saddled more winners - 1,503 - than any other trainer in New York history - more than Todd Pletcher, more than D. Wayne Lukas, more than Nick Zito or anybody! And here’s the proof: a reproduction from the NTRA’s, own record book!

I am also #7 all time at Belmont and #13 all time at Saratoga. The fancier the venue the less outstanding my record because I never got to saddle the high priced stakes runners with the fancy pedigree. I was a blue collar trainer and I trained blue collar horses.

My specialty was picking up claimers that other stables had given up on and entering them in the right races- races they had a chance to win- something their prior connections weren’t good at - and then winning big purses - sometimes in their very next outing. I did it repeatedly, consistently.

Bear in mind, none of these mounts was sold at big prices at the yearling sales. In other words, they were cheap horses. But I KNEW what they could do. I didn’t even LOOK at the horses I went solely by the figs in the Form. I could spot latent class, hidden form, a peaking form cycle, horse for a course, a horse that was being entered in wrong races that was ready for a bust out race! I SHAMED their prior connections by proving that they didn’t even know their own horses! No wonder they hated me! But I was hailed in the press as “the King of New York Racing,” and “The King of Winter racing.” And now I’m going to be hailed by YOU!

Because - though my claimers won $17,000,000 in stakes races and over $20,000,000 more in regular races, my “secret” had nothing to do with how I TRAINED them - but with how I HANDICAPPED them.

I LEARNED HOW TO WIN AS A BETTOR BEFORE I LEARNED HOW TO WIN AS A TRAINER.

Long before I saddled my first claimer, I was a full-time bettor with no connections to“the inside,” I found out through trial and error that the most important winning tool in racing are the pp’s in the Daily Racing Form. I studied them day and night. I learned how to spot hidden form, latent form, peaking form. A glance at the figs and I knew who was ready for a peak effort. Who could win off a layoff. Who was good for a repeat effort. I was successful. I was cashing bigger and bigger tickets at the windows. Ambitious horse owners came to see Gasper Moschera as the man who could spot their horses in races they could win, and that’s how my career as a trainer started. But it began at the windows and it continues to this day!

THAT’S WHY I CAN NOW SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE THE WINTER RACING PROFITS OF YOUR LIFE!

I have put down everything I know about winning the big winter meets into a handy 96 page book just slim enough to slip into your coat pocket on your way to the track or OTB. It’s a quick reference guide that gives you comprehensive, carefully researched BETTING TIPS on:

  • Running Styles: Which running styles work best. I have made a fortune IN SPRINTS at the Aqueduct Inner track just on running style alone!
  • Track Trends & Betting Angles: Hundreds of ways to win!
  • Post Position: Which posts win the most in which type races at which tracks! It’s all here in complete detail!
  • Trainer Trends: To the nth degree. I believe I have psyched out the training profession - plus useful clues in trainer-jockey combinations.

I COMBINE ALL THESE DIFFERENT LAYERS OF INFORMATION INTO 57 POWERFUL TIPS THAT CAN BE THE FOUNDATION OF YOUR NEXT FORTUNE!

CASH 13 BETTING TIPS AT AQUEDUCT!

  • Each tip is explained in complete detail so you will feel comfortable and confident. (Example: Always bet maiden second-time starters sent out by trainers Kiaran McLaughlin and James Jerkens... Key on the “Bruce Juice” angle, - Bruce Levine horses getting first-time Lasix... plus tons more!)
  • THEN, you can find the same tip summarized in a separate section for quick and easy reference

THERE ARE 27 BETTING TIPS AT GULFSTREAM

  • Again, all explained in complete detail (Example: At the distance of 6½ furlongs on the main track, upgrade any horse breaking from posts 2 through 8; downgrade all other post positions - especially the rail.)
  • Bulleted in a separate section or easy use.

THERE ARE 17 BETTING TIPS AT SANTA ANITA

  • Again, all explained in full detail. (Example: Upgrade any horse that draws the rail post at 7 furlongs. Downgrade horses that draw posts 9 and out.)
  • Summarized for quick reference.

“THE SKINNY ON THE BIG WINTER MEETS” ALSO PROVIDES CAPSULE DESCRIPTIONS OF ALL TRAINERS, linking them to the type of race they’re best and worst at. Rather than describe this feature, let me just SHOW you from my book.

Here’s the trainer capsule on Santa Anita’s
Mike Mitchell.

Mike Mitchell: one of the best trainers on the SoCal circuit to bet during the Santa Anita meet, with strong flat-bet ROI profits shown in many categories. Mitchell is a pretty good-bet nearly across the board, with fabulous numbers first off the claim, first-time Lasix, blinkers off, and synthetic-to-turf moves and routeto-sprints moves, as well as with maiden second-time starters. He shows poor numbers in only one category, with lower win percentage and ROI with horses trying first-time turf.
BET: First off claim, Maiden second-time starters, Blinkers off, Synthetic to turf, Route to sprint, First starters in maiden claiming races, Turf sprints
BET AGAINST: First-time turf

And note how vital information is summarized & condensed for quick look up!

NOW IMAGINE HAVING THAT LEVEL OF INFORMATION ON:

  • The top 31 trainers at Aqueduct!
  • The top 40 trainers at Gulfstream!
  • The top 32 trainers at Santa Anita!

It’s a complete guide of what to look for - what wins and what loses - at all three tracks under all conditions, at all distances and for all posts!

STILL MORE: MY BEST/WORST AT ALL TRACKS -- Yet another time saver when you need info in a hurry!

  • At the AQUEDUCT Inner Track, I tell you my TEN BEST & TEN WORST TRAINERS with first time starters, coming off a layoff and coming off the claim.
  • At GULFSTREAM, I give you my TOP TEN TRAINERS to bet on the Gulfstream turf... my TOP TEN to bet with first time starters... my BEST TRAINERS to bet off layoffs (short & long)... in second start after layoff... the WORST TRAINERS to bet after layoffs.
  • At SANTA ANITA, I give you SIX TRAINERS TO BET and SIX TO BET AGAINST in TURF SPRINTS, plus TEN JOCKEYS to Bet on the Turf and TOP TURF TRAINERS in ROUTES.

On top of all that, I give you my WINNING TIPS & TRAINER ANGLES POINT SYSTEM. It shows you step by step how to award or subtract points depending on race conditions or the horse’s or trainer’s priors - and find the winner!

OKAY, LET’S BRING THIS ALL TO SOME KIND OF CONCLUSION:

  • I am the man who beat Pletcher, Zito, Wayne Lukas, and everybody else at Aqueduct.
  • I am the 6 time champion trainer of New York State (& in the Top Ten 17 years in a row)
  • I saddled more winners in New York than any trainer that ever lived.
  • My specialty was claimer rejects whose careers I revived by knowing what kind of races they should be entered in.
  • I am the acknowledged king of New York winter racing (New York Magazine has called me “King of Winter Racing”)
  • I live five minutes from Gulfstream where I have enjoyed twenty years of unbroken success.
  • I have made myself master of winter racing at Santa Anita.
  • I have just written a 96 page manual that is both a handicapping text book and a portable winning guide to winter racing at the three biggest meets in the game.

The cost of this book is only $29.95 (includes p&h) - not a lot to pay for the kind of insurance I am providing you. There is probably not one type of race or situation this book has not foreseen! You are covered as never before.
I GUARANTEE you success.
